Injecting Yellow into Fall
Fall is here! I say that as if Fall doesn’t come every year *cough*. Seriously, though, Fall is my favorite season. The weather is crisp, the leaves are changing…everywhere but where I live…and I get to wear some of the most creative clothing combinations of the year. I have a sneaking suspicion that many of you reading feel the same exact way.
You may not know this, but yellow is one of my favorite colors to wear. It’s vibrant, beautiful, and looks great against my complexion. I hate that so many of us stop wearing it for Fall. Of course, traditionally the deep mustard yellows come out to play this time of year, but why not incorporate a spring yellow here and there?
That’s the motivation I had for putting this outfit together. This yellow Zara coat is no longer being sold, but they currently have a similar coat in beautiful “traditional” Fall colors that are equally as stunning. I belted it to give this boxy cut some shape, broke in my new black knee high boots, and recycled a long maxi dress I wore throughout pregnancy. The colors compliment one another, and the stripes look great peeking from underneath this eye-catching coat. I’ll find some similar styles that you can use to make your own version of this fall outfit idea below.
