STYLE # 1

As I am Hydration Elation

I was introduced to this deep conditioner by an actress friend of mine, Andrea Lewis. Months later my husband had beat me to my stash and started buying As I Am products for himself. The unique thing about this deep conditioner, is the fact that you can derange with it. It has a thick consistency, so it’s surprising. It melts into the hair and after a few minutes, you can definitely detangle. I have dense type 4 hair, so if I can do it, so can you! My hair feels soft and hydrated after allowing it to sit for only seven minutes in the shower with a shower cap.  I like to add more butter on the very ends to keep them moisturized.

Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie

This is my all time favorite deep conditioner. I’ve used it for 10 years now, and always buy it when I see it in stores. It’s thick and has a lot of slip. A product without silicones and that much slip is a bold YES in my book. The formula hasn’t let me down in all of these years and the SMELL is amazing! If you’re a fan of Vanilla and you like slippery deep conditioners, make this apart of your next hair product haul.

Kinky Curly Leave in

I’ve tried SO many leave ins and none of them compare. NONE of them. The slip from this one is incredible and it doesn’t have silicones! I have low porosity hair, so whenever I can avoid silicones, I do. Tho leave in is one product I can’t live without. I pair this with coconut oil and my detangling sessions don’t go over 40 minutes. Seriously. One of these days I’ll have to do a live detangling session so you can see for yourself.

Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie

Of all the products I own, this is the one I depend on to keep my hair hydrated so it grows. I typically apply it on dry hair the day after washing. I use it to moisturize my twist-outs and help style my hair throughout the week. This cream moisturizer is bae.

As I Am Double Butter Cream

My husband got me hooked on this one. If I’d like to have a more defined twist-out I turn to this butter. It helps lock in moisture and softens my hair while giving it a good enough hold. I use this one less often, but it’s still on my list because it gives great results.
