3.5 Natural Length Check on 4c Hair

ALMOST 5 YEARS OF HAIR GROWTH

This is growth from my second big chop I did on December 20th 2016 after transitioning for 1 year and 5months. Today is June 1, 2020 which means I should have 4 years and 11 months worth of growth on my head.

Hair grows on average at a rate of half an inch a month (6 inches a year) which means if my strands experienced no breakage, I would have 29.5 inches of hair on my head. Of course hair growth rate, hair care, health, and cycle affect this heavily, but that’s a topic for another video.

Today I’m measuring my hair so I can properly document and asses if the things I do to my hair help or hurt my length retention.
