HIT PLAY TO WATCH A SIMPLE WASH DAY ROUTINE

This is a simple, easy, and effective hair wash routine for hair types 4c 4b and 4a.

I don’t know about you, but when I first went natural, I did the absolute MOST on wash days. Sat under dryers, steamers, hot oil treatments weekly, blow dryers, aloe vera juice, oil concoctions – ANYTHING I saw other naturals do that claimed to promote hair growth. As my life got busier and more complex, I couldn’t afford to spend hours weekly on my hair routine, so I simplified it. I thought my hair would suffer, but surprisingly, it didn’t. Here’s my updated SUPER SIMPLE wash day routine.

SIMPLE HAIR ROUTINE FOR TYPE 4 HAIR

Properly washing, detangling, and moisturizing your hair is the foundation of a hair routine that promotes hair growth. Initial hair growth starts with the health of the scalp and length retention depends on moisturized strands and maintained ends. It’s important to keep a hair routine that is simple and compliments your lifestyle because consistency is the key to hair that flourishes.

I use the L.O.C. method when washing and moisturizing my hair. I apply water/leave-in, oil, then cream the next day. The acronym stands for the steps in a typical moisturizing routine; liquid, oil, cream. I have dry hair that is low in porosity, so it’s imperative that I have a simple routine that works every time.
