HOW TO WEAR RED ACCESSORIES
Red is one of my favorite accent colors. Red lipstick, red shoes, red purses – they add an electric boss lady energy that commands attention. This time I chose to play my look down with a casual outfit adorned with bright red accessories. I love how it turned out!
It all began with the bag. I know – it’s fabulous! It’s a black smooth leather Sara Battaglia handbag with a multi-colored accordion-style peek-a-boo surprise. I bought it because it seemed like the perfect bag to wear when you just want a pop of color.
I’ve had this H&M beret for years, but I’ll do my best to find links to a similar style. In general, they’re tricky to keep in place when you have afro-textured hair, so I opted for mini twists and a low-side ponytail. The bright red beret calls on the red in the handbag, belt, and shoes.

THE PERFECT RED BOOTIES
The BOOTS! I bought these booties from Macy’s and the brand is MIA. They have a very comfortable 3” stiletto heel and diamond-patterned stretch knit fabric that molds to the foot and ankle for a comfortable fit. It has a sleek pointed toe and the shaft doesn’t go too high up the leg. I also bought them in black and I’m very happy with them.
The red belt is actually a men’s belt from Amazon. It’s heavy-duty leather and should stay in great shape for a long time.

A LITTLE FAUX LEATHER MOMENT
I can’t get enough of this black faux leather jacket from Mango. I talked about it a while back in a Mango haul on my YouTube channel. The silver hardware gives it a badass biker vibe and the leather is smooth and incredibly soft. The length hits about hip length which is longer than I usually go, but it should prove helpful in windy weather. This jacket is HOT! I put a simple white tank top under it and my outfit is complete!

ADD A RED FLARE
Fall doesn’t have to be full of browns and rust oranges. Red offers an electric pop of color that’s fun and completely appropriate for the season. Adding accent pieces allows you to show a little flair without going overboard. Although, I myself wouldn’t mind a full-on red monochrome moment. Just a thought 🙂
If this resonated with you, share it with your friends or your Pinterest board. Comment below and tell us, what items in your closet you’re itching to wear for Fall. For me, it’s booties. Every. Single. Fall. Season.
