A DEEPER LOOK

In wanting to give you a deeper look into why I chose each look and how you can find each look for yourself, I realized that simply listing off brands wouldn’t be enough. So I created this post. Please leave a comment below and let me know which outfit you like best and what your five essentials are for summer. Enjoy the video above!

SOUTHERN FLOWER

floral jumpsuit outfit

This is the perfect Southern summer day outfit. It features a sexy, backless wide leg floral jumpsuit that hangs from the body and moves with the wind. And get this, it has pockets! Now you can ditch the purse 😉 I paired it with neutral nude high heels with a thick ankle strap. My jewelry takes this ‘fit up a notch and adds a modern eloquence fit for a queen. Though the necklace is a statement piece, wearing it tight around the neck accentuates the area. Instead of clashing with the floral prints, it compliments it. This pairing is sure to bring on a few gentlemen callers.

CALIFORNIA GIRL

This is a fun, laid back outfit perfect for the west coast sun. I’m wearing shorts that show a LOT of leg. To keep the look casual, I’m wearing printed flats and bohemian inspired jewelry that isn’t too restricting on the body. Layering jewelry is fun and easy to do using pieces in a similar style that have varying lengths. And of course, there’s nothing like elevating an outfit with a cozy, knee length cardigan to keep it all comfortable, modest, and chic!

LITTLE MEXICO

This outfit reminds me of something I would wear visiting Mexico in Spring. This denim vest shields my shoulders from the sun, while allowing my arms air and freedom. Ive buttoned the vest all the way up, leaving a perfect place for this gold linked necklace to peek through. Paired with this cuff bracelet and hand chain, it adds a little glamour to an otherwise relaxed look. I chose a muted patterned pant to elevate the demin that reminds me of a mosaic art piece I might find in Mexico. The black and white flats are art in itself and contrast the whole outfit. I’m a lover of art, so I love that the unlikely pairings make it interesting to look at.

MIDWEST DENIM

The denim trend is in, and I wanted to approach it with well fitted items that didn’t swallow up my figure. I paired a fitted jean vest with a long sleeved jean top, rolled at the forearm.  My high waisted jeans are rolled and cuffed to showcase my peanut butter loafer style flats and matching belt.  Being sure not to overpower the denim statement, I kept the jewelry simple with a choker style wooden necklace and gold studded earrings. Not only is this ‘fit comfortable, it’s on trend and very chic.

EAST COAST ACTRESS

This has to be my favorite outfit. It screams Artist! The black and white patterned top layered under this black romper gives this ‘fit a very high fashion feel. The vertically striped tights pull together the patterns, and streamline to high gloss heels. The vertical zipper slims my body and leads to this simple black feather necklace that’s actually a single earring hooked to the collar of the shirt. Thought you’d like that 😉 The chandelier earrings adds yet another pattern to this artsy outfit. I love the cross straps in the back because it gives reason for a second look when I walk away. I top it all with this gorgeous fedora and I’m set. Though this ‘fit is black and white, there’s nothing bland about it.

AFTER THOUGHTS

Often times, we think outfits have to have items that are only worn with a certain look and have to be an expensive name brand to be stylish. But, as you see from the outfits above, many items were borrowed for a few looks and a few items came from thrift stores and Target.
