CLASSY END OF SUMMER OUTFITS
I spent some time in Florida recently and the weather was beautiful. Surprisingly, there were a lot of miniature storms, but I was told later that it was pretty typical for Florida. Apparently, it’s normal to have a short thunderstorm in the middle of a perfectly sunny day.
I packed light (one suitcase) and wanted to bring outfits that were stylish, yet complimented the warm weather.
A SIMPLE BLUE ROMPER
The romper. Can you really go wrong with a romper on a vacation? It’s as easy to throw on as a dress, yet gives you the flexibility to be as active as you’d like without worrying about flashing anyone your goodies. This Romper is perfect. I’ve worn it for a dinner date as well as a walk along the beach boardwalk. These brown chunky heel sandals dress it up but are comfortable enough to wear during the day. I’ve also worn these with plain white sneakers and flat beige sandals. Another great idea would be to add a belt. It smartens the look up and gives it a slightly different look in case you wanted to wear it twice on a trip. Add a complimentary brown cross-body handbag, belt, and gold jewelry to complete the look!

FAUX LEATHER SKIRT
Hot pink looks amazing on brown skin. I’d go as far as to say bright colors, in general, look good on melanated skin. This hot pink one-piece was exactly what I needed to feel confident on the beach. For those of us who aren’t comfortable in bikinis, stylish one-pieces are heaven-sent. Throw on some cute daisy dukes and you’ve got the perfect hot-girl-summer beach outfit.

DRESS SHORTS AND PUFF SLEEVES
I found these dress shorts at an H&M store on sale. They were the first pair of shorts I’d purchased in three years and I purchased them a size up. I haven’t regretted the sizing at all. Shorts that leave extra room in the leg area actually create a breezy, elevated vibe that can make you stand out in a sea of people wearing skin-tight clothes. There’s a confidence to it that can’t really be explained. I added a white H&M top with puff sleeves to uplevel the look and the result was a casual outfit with just enough flair to show intentionality and style.

KEEPNG IT LOW KEY
My stay safe in Florida was pretty chill. Nothing like the extravagant influencer trips we’ve grown accustomed to seeing online. Sometimes low-key is what the trip calls for and that’s okay too. Cheers to downtime!
