BLUE HAD ME AT HELLO

I recently posted this image on Instagram of me having a full out concert in my room with a full face of makeup.  Bright eyeshadow has had an interesing history with women of color in this modern age. It’s thought by many to be clown-ish and unwearable, though many of  us would like to be more adventurous and playful with our makeup.

Whether you want to flirt with color and add only a hint of blue to an eye look, or go all out, I encourage you to take inspiration from this makeup look, and make it your own.

In my Instagram Story breaking down my favorite products from this look. Most of the products are available online, but I found private sellers or altenatives for those harde to find.

For most people, this makeup look is only wearable in a night club setting, and that’s okay. Buy some inexpensive makeup and start experimentng until you find something you like. If you’re having a hard time making bright colors work, my biggest tip is finding a good crease color that can bridge the gap between your complextion and the color. Go-to crease transitional colors are warm browns and oranges.

Be brave and most importantly, have fun!
