SHOP FOR HER...AND YOU

I’ve put together a curated gift list for the fashion lovers in your life that have an athletic body type.  After all, I first created this blog for people with athletic bodies looking for outfit ideas.

I have a whole post on how to dress an athletic body type if you are curious. That being said, I’m aware that many of you have athletic body types yourselves. It may be difficult to shop for others based on body type, but perhaps you want a little something for yourself. *wink wink*

If you’re wanting to shop during the holidays, but you see an item you’d like to buy now, download the shoptagr app. I just downloaded it a few weeks ago and I love that I can get notifications when something I want goes on sale. It’s really easy to use, and it’s become my go to place to browse deals from my favorite online retailers.

Shoptagr has no idea that I exist, but I want to pass on my money saving tips so you can shop smart.  I also use a site and app called Ebates, for most of my online shopping.  If you visit a website via Ebates, and buy something, you will get a percentage back in a paypal account of your choosing. Happy Shopping!

BOOTS

Finding boots that fit wide calves can be a pain in the “you know what”.  So I’ve put together a collection of stylish boots that offer extra room in the calve area, as well as cute booties that would flatter wider ankles. As you click on each style, take a look at the product description. I used a combination of the boot’s description and my personal taste to find the styles that you see below.

SKIRTS • JEANS • DRESSES

Mesomorphs typically have narrow hips and wide shoulders. I find that mid-rise jeans and A line skirts look best if trying to create the illusion of an hourglass figure.

HIGH HEELS • FLATS • SNEAKERS

I’m a lover of high heels. But as I’ve gotten more mature in my taste, I’ve discovered that a cute shoe isn’t the only requirement my sturdy legs need. I need comfort and stability as well. As a result, I’ve moved away from sky-high stick-thin stilettos, and have opted for chunkier heels. If the heel is thinner, I’ve found that a heel 3.5 inches or less is best. Also, look at the toe box. Some of us have slender toes that work well with a pointed toe shoe, while other need an almond shape or rounded toe. I’ve included a variety of shoes that fit many foot types.

I’ve also included flats and sneakers because, well, they’re cute.
